Come Out and Support Your Democratic Party Steering Committee This Weekend! 

Hello everyone! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is excited for the holiday season! I am Kendra Collins a member and the Marketing Director of the Smyth County Democratic Party Steering Committee. If you are not in the holiday spirit just yet, I am hoping we can change that! The Smyth County Democratic Party has a Christmas tree in the Smyth County Museum in Marion for their Christmas at the Museum event. The museum is located to the right of the Lincoln Theatre on Main Street. The tree was designed and decorated by myself, Ann-Margaret, Jane Tate, and Jeff Richardson. Also, members of the committee. 

We donned the tree in patriotic and festive ornaments, lights, stars, and the cornerstone of our Christmas tree, the Liberty and Justice for ALL burlap ribbon. Liberty and Justice for ALL was our tree's selected theme, so it is titled America's Promise. On Thursday December 4th from 3 PM-7 PM, Friday December 5th from 4 PM-7 PM, and Saturday December 6th from 12 PM-4PM America's Promise can be viewed and voted for People's Choice at the Museum. You can cast your vote once per day up to 3 times total. It is a community event so be sure to invite and bring friends and family! It will be difficult not to be filled with patriotism and the holiday spirit after viewing our tree. It festively states our message and what we are advocating for the USA to be, for ALL.
